Power Morphicon Convention is the biggest and only officially recognized Power Rangers fan convention in the world since 2007. It has been led by veteran convention and show runner Scott Zillner since its second expo in 2010. Now after six explosively successful shows, Power Morphicon Convention is ready to take the express route.

Jason David Frank, best know as Tommy Oliver (the original Green Ranger and most popular and active actor over the course of the show’s 25-year run), will lead the show across various cities, making sure that everyone has the opportunity to get in on the Power Rangers Convention fun and adventures. Just like the large-scale show which takes place every two years in Southern California, Power Morphicon Express will give fans the opportunity to meet a collection of their favorite Power Rangers actors, hear them speak in panels, buy incredible merchandise in the vendor hall, and see Power Rangers inspired art by local artists.

Power Morphicon Express will hit the road in 2019 with its first stop scheduled in Pasadena, Texas.

NEWS – Power Rangers 25th Anniversary Episode Details

Super Ninja Steel

The first details of the Power Rangers 25th Anniversary Episode have been officially announced by IGN.

First, Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel returns for its mid-season premiere on Saturday, August 25th at noon on Nickelodeon.

Second, Nickelodeon will air the anniversary team-up at 8 p.m. on August 28th, the date that Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers first premiered on the Fox Kids Network.

Third, returning Rangers include Tommy Oliver (Jason David Frank),  Kat Hillard (Catherine Sutherland), and Wes Collins (Jason Faunt).

Finally, according to Power Rangers Now, other returning cast members will include Jeff Parazzo, Li Ming Hu, Steven Skyler, Ciara Hanna, Yoshi Sudarso, and more.

The Power Morphicon Convention is celebrating its SIXTH show, the expo’s first at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The show is run by veteran convention artist and vendor Scott Zillner who annually puts on nearly a dozen shows in the Los Angeles and Sacramento areas including Japan World Heroes, a convention celebrating Japanese and Sentai related popular culture. Power Morphicon Convention has been held every other year since 2007, and Scott Zillner has been in control of the show since its second run in 2010. Since then, Power Morphicon Convention has been held consistently on even-numbered years.

Power Morphicon Convention hosts the largest number of actors and crew from the Power Rangers franchise, including artists and actors from the original Japanese Super Sentai series, upon which the Power Rangers television show is based. In addition to meeting their favorite actors from Power Rangers, fans and convention attendees will be able to purchase some convention exclusive merchandise. These special convention-only items are available for pre-order with your paid convention membership (attending or non-attending), or at the expo during the show. Items include the exclusive Lord Drakkon figurine (throne sold separately) and the black and gold Megazord Funko Pop! figurine. Transaction Details
Hasbro has previously paid Saban Brands $22.25 million pursuant to the Power Rangers master toy license agreement, announced by the parties in February of 2018, that was scheduled to begin in 2019. Those amounts are being credited against the purchase price. Under the terms of the purchase agreement, Hasbro will pay an additional $229.75 million in cash and will issue $270 million worth of Hasbro common stock for the Power Rangers brand and several other entertainment brands. The agreement includes all related intellectual property, category rights and content libraries owned by Saban Properties and its affiliates. The transaction is subject to a number of customary closing conditions, including obtaining required regulatory approvals, and is expected to close during the second quarter of 2018.

The transaction, including intangible amortization expense, is not expected to have a material impact on Hasbro’s 2018 results of operations.

 – Saban Brands and Nickelodeon today announced the continuation of their longtime partnership, with Nickelodeon to serve as the official broadcaster for Saban’s Power Rangers television series in the U.S. through 2021.
