Originally announced yesterday by IGN, nWay announced that PRBFTG is having a morphinominal cross-over with none other than Capcom’s Street Fighter franchise in the upcoming Street Fighter Pack and the brand new Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid – Super Edition, created with their partners at Hasbro and Lionsgate. You’re going to see Ryu and Chun-Li morphing into Power Rangers to duke it out against the roster of fan-favorite Power Rangers and villains.
Lord Zedd has weakened the Morphin Grid and is starting to break down the walls between realities. Ryu finds himself transported to the world of the Rangers where he acquires a Power Coin and takes on the mantle of the Crimson Hawk Ranger. Ryu brings to the battle his trademark stoic, reserved poise and a lifetime of Shotokan training. His fluid, almost water-like fighting style is deadly at both range and up close, with his moves executed using classic, genre-defining input commands. Keep opponents on their toes from a distance with classic Hadouken, or punish aggressive play up close with his Tastumaki Senpukyaku or iconic Shoryuken.

Three months ago we showed off the first reveal of Scorpina in Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, and now we have received more information from nWay Games regarding her launch tomorrow, December 8th.
Just when the Power Rangers think they have everything under control, along comes someone to put a little sting in their plans. That’s right – fan favorite villain Scorpina has entered the Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid arena, bringing a bag of attacks and tricks so devious they’d make any villain jealous.
The ruthless minion of Rita Repulsa and fighting partner of Goldar, Scorpina has repeatedly proven to be one of the Ranger’s most dangerous opponents, thanks in part to her deadly Scorpion form. Now free from her imprisonment, thanks to Rita, Scorpina has a score to settle with the Power Rangers!
Scorpina is a fearsome opponent no matter the situation, proving deadly on the ground or in the air. Befitting her arachnid nature, she’s able to utilize her speed and dexterity to turn the entire arena to her advantage, peppering the ground with poisonous mines or stabbing opponents with scorpion-like strikes from the air. Even when at range, Scorpina can close the gap with her deadly boomerang or teleportation powers. And, when up close, her lighting fast strikes and gliding aerial movements can keep any opponent locked down.
Scorpina is the third and final DLC character for Battle for the Grid’s Season 3. Players can get Scorpina on PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, Microsoft Store, Steam or Stadia for $5.99 or the full Season 3 Pass for $14.99, which also includes Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger, Robert “RJ” James, and Red Samurai Ranger, Lauren Shiba, along with the Phantom Beast skin for Dai Shi.
IGN has the exclusive Gameplay Trailer for Scorpina.
Included with the release of Scorpina is the long awaited 2.5.0 Patch for the game. Click Read More for the full Patch Notes!
Today nWay teased the next upcoming character for Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid and one could say she’s….got some sting to her. That’s right – fan-favorite and iconic villainess Scorpina is headed to the game as the last character for Season 3!
Scorpina will join the fight on December 8th as the final DLC in the Season 3 Pass.
The ruthless minion of Rita Repulsa and fighting partner of Goldar, Scorpina has repeatedly proven to be one of the Ranger’s most dangerous opponents. But just what kind of fighting style will Scorpina bring to the game? Expect more details and a full gameplay trailer the closer we get to her official release in the game. Until then, check out the short teaser video and screenshots.
And don’t forget – Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid Collector’s Edition on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One will be available at retail on October 13th for $29.99. Pre-order is now available at major game retailers, including Amazon and Gamestop. Those who pre-order will receive two copies of the Green Ranger V2 skin — one for themselves and one to give to a friend.
Finally, Lauren Shiba the Red Samurai Ranger, was added to the roster last week. Sweet, tough and kind-hearted, Lauren Shiba took over the role of Red Samurai Ranger momentarily and led the team against Nighlok. Lauren spent her life mastering the sealing symbol in secret, while her younger brother Jayden led the Samurai Rangers until her return. After Lauren used the Sealing Symbol on Master Xandred, she relinquished her leadership role back to Jayden to finish the fight.
Lauren Shiba’s combat style is heavily influenced by traditional samurai sword fighting. From dashing in for close combat with her to her quick jab attack using the butt of her sword, this Red Samurai Ranger proves to be a threat even with and without her weapon drawn. In addition to her Samuraizer Sword techniques, Lauren will be the most agile ranger to enter the Grid thanks to her special dash mechanic and double jumps.
Players will be able to digitally purchase Lauren Shiba on the PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, Microsoft Store, Steam and Stadia for $5.99 or alternatively purchase the game’s Season Pass at $14.99 which includes Lauren Shiba, RJ, and Scorpina. The Season Pass also includes the exclusive Phantom Beast King skin for Dai Shi.
Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, the fan-favorite fighting game from developer nWay, in partnership with Hasbro and Lionsgate, today announced the release of its first character for Season 3: Robert “RJ” James, also known as Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger.
Players can digitally purchase the new character on PlayStation Store, Nintendo eShop, Microsoft Store, Steam or Stadia for $5.99 or the full Season 3 Pass for $14.99, which includes RJ and two additional new characters, along with a bonus character skin that is exclusive to the Season Pass. With the exception of the additional Season 3 characters that will be available in the coming months, most of Season 3’s content — both paid and free — are available today.
