We break the hiatus to talk about San Diego Comic Con before the show! Host Eric (@trekkieb47) is joined by Chris (@TokuChris), a soon to be 5-time veteran of SDCC, to discuss the convention and the news of Power Rangers exclusives from Bandai, Hasbro, Entertainment Earth, Boom Studios, Bluefin / Tamashii Nations and BAIT Collectibles.

Eric and Chris answer listener questions about the convention including balancing nerding out versus covering the show, will actual fans get the exclusives or is it just for scalpers, and what can SDCC improve or is this the show to end all shows?

February 15, 2018 – After a successful 25-year partnership building the iconic action franchise, Power Rangers, Saban Brands and Bandai have mutually agreed not to renew their global Power Rangers master toy license agreement, effective April 2019. Bandai will continue to support Power Rangers, including the 2018 commemoration of the Power Rangers 25th anniversary and the current season, Super Ninja Steel. In addition, Bandai, through its partnership with Toei Company Ltd., will continue to exploit toy rights for the Super Sentai series, which has enjoyed over 40 years of success, in Japan and select other Asian territories.

NEWS – Saban’s Power Rangers Movie Red Ranger Sword revealed

Thanks to Saban Brands and Lionsgate, we’ve been given the first look at the Red Ranger’s movie sword in the upcoming Power Rangers film, hitting theaters March 24, 2017!

The iconic Red Ranger Power Sword has been re-imagined and rebooted. With New York Comic Con happening in the next couple days, anticipation is high for a potential trailer.

Speaking of NYCC,  Bandai America is releasing the first movie toy at the show. It will be a limited-edition Legacy Collection Movie Red Ranger with his sword and power coin! Only 1,000 have been made and each day, there will be limited quantities available at Bandai’s booth, #1628.
