NEWS – Power Rangers Ninja Steel Logo and Synopsis

Today, Saban Brands sent members of the Power Force the high resolution version of the Power Rangers Ninja Steel logo that was first revealed on IGN’s snapchat on Thursday.

IGN also included a new synopsis for Ninja Steel:

“Saban’s Power Rangers Ninja Steel starts deep in space, where Zircon is the reigning champion of the most popular intergalactic game show in the universe, and monsters battle to prove who is the mightiest warrior.

Zircon is determined to become invincible by controlling the mythical Spirit Crystal, which contains six supernatural Ninja Power Throwing Stars. The only thing standing in his way is a new team of heroic teenage Power Rangers who possess the Spirit Crystal.

The evil Zircon sends his warrior contestants down to Earth to steal the Crystal, where each epic battle against the Rangers is broadcast throughout the universe. Together, the Rangers must master their arsenal of Throwing Stars, Zords and Megazords, each made of legendary ninja steel, in order to stop this evil threat and save our planet from destruction.”

First Look: Power Rangers Movie Suits

Entertainment Weekly released the first look image of the movie suits for Saban’s Power Rangers releasing next year.

The outfits are visual throwbacks to the franchise’s long-running mythology. “The show was about kids coming of age, about metamorphosis,” director Dean Israelite (Project Almanac) says. “These suits needed to feel like they were catalyzed by these kids and their energy, their spirit.”

The spandex-free makeover also helps set the film apart from other big-screen franchises. “It’s tricky finding a new language for a superhero costume,” production designer Andrew Menzies (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) admits. “Ours is an alien costume that grows on them, that’s not man-made. You can’t win everyone over, but we are trying to appeal to a more mature audience and gain new fans.”

Lionsgate released the first look image of actress Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa for Saban’s Power Rangers releasing next year.

The primarily green color of the suit along with gold highlights certainly hints at a Green Ranger and Rita’s connections to it. The look is sure to divide the fan base.

Power Rangers Dino Super Charge episode 8, “Riches and Rags” airs this Saturday! Saban Brands has given Power Force members two exclusive behind-the-scenes stills.

For this mid-season finale, Ivan finds himself in debt after mistaking a 1,000 year old suit of armor as a training dummy. Meanwhile, Heckyl creates a Spellbinder/Gold Digger hybrid named Spell Digger. This hybrid monster is then sent to spread greed to anyone who touches his coins.
