POWER MORPHICON ANNOUNCES FIRST WAVE OF GUESTS, CAST FROM KYORYU SENTAI ZYURANGER AND GOSEI SENTAI DAIRANGER TO ATTEND

Pasadena, CA – The three-day event will be held on August 12th-14th, 2016, at the Pasadena Convention Center.

Yuuta Mochizuki, best known for his role as Geki, the red Tyranno Ranger, from Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, will be making his second appearance at Power Morphicon.

Fellow Zyuranger cast members Seiju Umon , Reiko Chiba, and Takumi Hashimoto will be attending their first Power Morphicon event.

Seiji Umo, known for his role as Goushi, is the (black) Mammoth Ranger.

Reiko Chiba played Mei, the (pink) Ptera Ranger. After Zyuranger, Chiba made her J-Pop debut as a member of Aurora Gonin Musume. Chiba’s voice work includes playing herself in the anime movie Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture and the voice of Cham Cham in the Samurai Showdown video game series.

Takumi Hashimoto played Boi, the (yellow) Tiger Ranger. He later provided the voice of King Ranger, in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger and had a role in Denji Sentai Megaranger as a classmate of the Megarangers.

Appearing for the 1st time at Power Morphicon, Keiichi Wada, best known for his role as Ryo of the Heavenly Fire Star, in Gosei Sentai Dairanger. Wada also played the first Kamen Rider Ryuki, Koichi Sakakibara and Akiba Red (Alternate Timeline) in Hikonin Sentai Akibaranger Season 2.

Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger was the basis for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. The White Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers originated from Gosei Sentai Dairanger, known as the “Kiba Ranger”.

The show uses Japanese footage from Super Sentai, “Super” referring to mecha and “Sentai” is the Japanese word for “task force or ”fighting squadron”, produced by Toei Company. He interviewed Executive Producer Chip Lynn of Power Rangers Dino Charge, talked with Bandai America about the latest in toys, attended the Dino Charge panel hosted by Andre the Black Nerd and more!
