Ranger Command Power Hour Episode 182

It’s time to Ranger Up with @trekkieb47, @secretrangerfan & @ZachLaVoy as they talk all things Power Rangers on the Four Eyed Radio Network with RANGER COMMAND POWER HOUR!

In this episode the hosts discuss this topic from Steve F. (@HitPeopleGuy):

“I’d like to see RCPH talk about what pieces of fandom they truly enjoy. I know there’s been a lot of discourse about the frustrations of fandom spaces and interactions, but maybe something where everyone gets to talk about what they enjoy about it/interactions with people they treasure.”

From positive fandom experiences, creators that inspire us and how social media has changed our lives, we hope this episode puts a smile on your face!

We also catch up on a ton of news including: new comic releases, Humble Bundle’s MMPR comic pack, June’s Fan First Friday for Power Rangers, new Lightning Collection leaks, Renegade Games Rangers United Kickstarter, a Power Rangers film for 2023, Dino Fury now on Netflix, and more!

Those are some good pita chips…

COMIC REVIEW – Mighty Morphin Issue 8

On Wednesday, June 9th, Mighty Morphin Issue 8 will be released from Boom Studios. A first look of this issue was shown last week.

Will the Power Rangers be able to save Angel Grove from Lord Zedd and his Putty Primes? With Tommy’s life on the line, the rest of the team will have to rely on new allies with their own agenda. Meanwhile, past and present collide as another player finally reveals themselves and makes their move…

Host Eric (@trekkieb47) had a chance to read the issue in advance and shares his review:

“As we inch closer to Mighty Morphin Issue 10 and the return of Dan Mora with a Zordon focused story, more lore regarding the Zeo Crystal is shown in the first few pages of Mighty Morphin issue 8. At least… some Eltarian myths surrounding the crystal. Is Zeon in the story one of the original Morphin Masters? If so, it’s a great way to tie in the comics and what we’ve seen so far from Power Rangers Dino Fury

Aside from that, the preview continues in the present with Tommy squaring off against the Megazord sized Putty Primes. With some help from Aisha, the issue has an explosive start. The situation flips pretty drastically back and forth for the rest of the issue. And while we won’t spoil anything, I really hope that we get some non-Ranger character beats from the fallout of this issue. In the past few issues, there have been a couple time skips that I think take away from the characters truly processing some of the events going on. I hope we get that in the next issue, before the Zordon standalone in Issue 10.

Writer Ryan Parrott really delivered by making Aisha a big part of this issue early on and has been doing a great job in fleshing out the Yellow Rangers for both series. Artist Marco Renna excels with the Zord battles and panel layouts. There’s also some unique panels with the fight scenes in this issue, particularly with Rocky fighting, that I found visually appealing.

Overall, Issue 8 ups the stakes in another power move from Zedd and continues to build for the event issue coming up. Definitely looking forward to see what happens next!”

Ranger Command Power Hour Extra Episode 075

It’s time to Ranger Up with @trekkieb47 @secretrangerfan@ZachLaVoy as they talk all things Power Rangers on the Four Eyed Radio Network with RANGER COMMAND POWER HOUR!

In our Extra Episode for May 2021, brought to you by our supporters on Patreon, Eric, A.P. and Zach discuss what the next Power Rangers series could be from the recent unadapted Sentai seasons.

This topic was from one of our top tier Patrons, Ethan S. “This may be jumping the gun a little since Dino Fury’s only eight episodes into its first season, but I’d love to see RCPH discuss the Sentai available for adaptation into the next PR season and discuss which season you think it will most likely be (or which you would most want it to be) especially in the context of a major PR anniversary occurring during the show’s run.”

From ToQger to Zenkaiger, we give our pros and cons for adaptation and what we enjoy from each series.

The stars aligned in our news because we talk about Hasbro and eOne comments on the future of Power Rangers, new copyrights for Netflix and the announcement of Dino Fury’s first half moving to Netflix.

Watch out for the storm…
